Rare Corgi Toys 267 “Batman” Batmobile

Rare Corgi Toys 267 “Batman” Batmobile to Feature at Vectis Auctions

An exceptionally rare Corgi Toys 267 “Batman” Batmobile goes under the hammer at Vectis Auctions this December.

This unique model has a very light gold-plated body, black factory riveted base, blue windscreens, red interior, and the original Batman & Robin figures. The model is presented on its original wooden base with a detachable perspex dome, which has naturally discoloured over time.

What makes this piece truly remarkable is its provenance: it was originally presented to the vendor’s father, who worked as a foreman at the Corgi Swansea factory, and is believed to be one of only a handful ever made.

The Batmobile is expected to attract significant interest, with an estimate of £2,500 – £3,000.

Andrew Reed, Specialist Diecast cataloguer at Vectis Auctions said "It is a superb opportunity for Vectis Auctions to offer such a rare model"

Howzat for a Loft Find! Rare 1940s Tulltoy ‘Real Cricket in Miniature’ Set to Go Under the Hammer

A remarkable discovery has been made in a loft, an extremely rare “Real Cricket in Miniature” set by Tulltoy (Phillip Segal Toys), dating from around 1947, has surfaced and is set to be auctioned at Vectis Auctions on 28th October with an estimate of £3,000–£5,000.
The vendor discovered the boxed set when they moved into their home and initially brought it to Vectis for valuation four years ago. After some deliberation, they have now decided the time is right to sell, and collectors are already taking notice.

Items created by Phillip Segal, are highly sought after among vintage toy collectors. Segal began producing toys in 1938, but his early work was halted when wartime restrictions banned the use of lead. Although he resumed production after the war, his career was cut short by his early death in 1951, meaning his toys were only produced for a brief period.
This particular set, made circa 1947, may be the only one of its kind still in existence, and its condition makes it even more remarkable.

A true testament to post-war British craftsmanship and a dream find for collectors, this “Real Cricket in Miniature” set is expected to bowl over bidders when it goes under the hammer.
Auction Date: Tuesday 28th October
Estimate: £3,000–£5,000
Location: Vectis Auctions, Stockton-on-Tees
